We went to the children's museum last week one day and it happened to be pirate day, so the boys got to make all kinds of pirate things including a telescope, hat, parrot to go on their shoulder, and flag. They even held some real parrots. Funny thing is that Tayson only wanted to hold the very smallest one, while Camden was happy to hold the HUGE one. 2 years ago, I never would have predicted that. Camden has changed dramatically from about age 20 months on.
My parents used to own a baby clothing manufacturing company when I was younger, all the way up until shortly after we had Tayson. When I was a teenager, over 10 years ago, they made this fancy baby dress. The picture doesnt show the detail or do it justice. It has pink under the white lace. It has a little lace bonnet to go with it, and the cutest bloomers underneath. My mother saved one for me when I had a baby girl. I had to put Baylee in it at least once before she outgrows it. However, since the lace is a bit scratchy on her, she probably will only where it this one time. She looked just like the baby doll that it was on before. I will probably put it back on the baby doll to give to her when she gets a little older. Its not necessarily something in style anymore with so much lace, but it holds a special place in my heart. The pictures also don't do the hat justice, it is too cute!

Baylee absolutely LOVES baths. She doesnt make a peep, she just soaks it all in. A friend gave her this adorable towel. It has a princess with a crown, hair, etc on top on the hood. It is too cute!
Hanging out in her swing for a short time. Let me emphasis SHORT! She doesn't like to be in it much more than 5-10 minutes Tops! That's if I'm lucky. Not at all like her brothers on that one.

hey rachel!! sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you...3 kids is a LOT of work! wow! LOL. i love all of your pictures though...they make me melt. :)
so about the earpeircing....i did brooklyn's at 3 months old and jesi's at 4 months. it was GREAT!! they were so little that they weren't scared and honestly didn't cry AT ALL. i just gave them tylenol about 20 mins before and had a bottle ready. VOILA! it was great. also, have two people do it at the same time if possible. store managers FOR SURE. i would trust no one else, but that's just my opinion. as far as camryn goes...i'm not sure if i'm gonna peirce hers or not yet. i have already had the excitement of peircing my babies and LOVING IT!! but now i'm thinkin' i just might wait until she's old enough to ask for it and make a day out of it with your big sissy's just for fun. just to try something new. but honestly i don't know yet. i just might cave and get it done next time i'm up in portland again. :) can't wait to see what you decide....

hey rachel! sorry i am SO BAD at responding right away. i'm sure you know that 3 kids leaves you with very little "ME" time. it's kind of a luxury to get on the computer these days. but i wanted to reply to your ear peircing questions...
the reason we went all the way up to portland (The Icing at Washington Square) is b/c my fam lives up there and i wanted them to come with me. it was a good meeting ground. also i think salem has a tendency to be a little WT (no offense to any salem-ites out there!) and i wasn't very keen on the idea of a 16 year old peircing my baby's ears. i just like washington square better, but honestly i'm sure either would do a great job. can't wait to see what you decide to do!! it's SO FUN!!!! babies with peirced ears are dang cute! :) oh yeah, and don't forget to give her a little tylenol about 20-30 mins before, and make sure to have a bottle ready in hand. and two people peircing at the same time so it's only one "pinch" instead of two. GOOD LUCK! she'll be just fine. i bet you'll be surprised how well she'll do.
Hey Rachel! How are you, looks like you are busy! We have 3 little ones too, You'll have to email me and catch up. We live in Buffalo, NY. My husband did dental school here and is now continuing on in Pediatrics so 2 more years!
